One of the smoothest transactions I have ever had with a roofing company. I worked with Russell to assess the damage on my roof. Russell, was able to walk me through the damage, the claims process and what to expect when filing a claim.
Russell kept me up to date on the process, and when I can expect the team to arrive after the claim was approved.
What is even more impressive is that Russell and the team were able to provide detail evidence the damage, even after the claim had been denied twice. After hurricane Helena came thru Augusta, GA last September, my property suffered some damages including my roof. Two of my neighbors recommended Universal Roofing, and especially Cole whom I contacted immediately. I was very impressed with this kind young gentleman who assessed the damage to the roof and from then did all the work with the insurance. Him and Selma kept me informed regularly (I exchanged many emails with Selma who guided me and reassured me as the insurance was very slow to respond). Finally came the day when Cole arrived with his team to replace my roof. There was a storm coming, and this team replaced our roof in a under a day -- and did incredible work. I found this company after looking for recommendations in my local Facebook group after Hurricane Helene left my roof leaking in multiple places. We worked with Cole, who helped us navigate tricky insurance and got a whole roof replacement covered. He even came out to meet the insurance claims agent and got them to cover a bunch of the interior damage as well like carpets and dry wall. The day of the roof replacement everything went smoothly: the crew turned up on time, sent us awesome drone shots of their progress, finished the job before sunset, and left the yard spotless. Russell Allen @ Universal Roofing came by the house after working on our neighbor's home. Great company, extremely friendly and professional. One of the best experiences I have had with a contractor, to be honest, and they execute extremely well. Russel made sure to send drone pictures throughout the project as well. They were really coordinated, organized, and worked really fast. They did the complete roofing job and cleaned up in 1 day.
The roof looks amazing.
Quick update: This is a huge one for me. We noticed that we were missing the chimney on our chiminea, and I reached out to Russell about it. Because they took a number of pictures throughout the project, they were able to confirm it was there, and then later in the day, it was gone. Without issue, they agreed to make us whole and replace it.
I do not do this very often, as we have been burned before by contractors. However, I am absolutely thrilled with the service and professionalism Russell and Universal Roofing provided. I would recommend them to anyone.
