What is TPO?
TPO or Thermoplastic-olephine roofing is one of the most common roofing types for commercial facilities. You may have recognized TPO roofing before as a bright white sheet on the top of large commercial buildings. TPO is one of the top choices for flat roof systems that are both energy-efficient and economical. TPO is one type of single-ply membrane roofing. It comprises a single layer of synthetics that are then mechanically fastened or adhered to a layer of insulation with a fabric reinforcing scrim. This synthetic material consists of various rubber types that are usually a combination of polypropylene and ethylene-propylene rubber.

TPO roofing vs. Traditional Materials

I highly recommend Universal Roofing. We worked with Kyle and he made the entire process stress free and smooth-running. Kyle came on site several times to assess hail and wind damage with a drone fly over and physically going onto the roof to inspect and visibly mark damaged areas before the insurance adjuster arrived. He was helpful in being on site during the adjuster visit as well. The workers showed up very early and completed the job in one day. Only some minor cleanup remained for the following morning. I could actually write a very long response, however, I will try to be brief.
Jason arrived at my house at the appointed time. From the moment I showed him the leak in my closet, he went into action. He is like a sleuth. He climbed into the "crevices" of my attic and systematically located the exact spot where the leak was displaying. He then went outside and logically located the spot on the roof where he tenaciously located the issue. He not only explained the issue but gave me a detailed explanation of how he fix it. All of this while is was starting drizzle. He then proceeded to repair the breach.
I honestly have not seen that type of dedication and work ethic in quite a few years from a contractor. I cannot overstate how, though initially perplexing, undaunting Jason was in determining the cause. I was completely impressed with his character and integrity. Thanks to DJ Coots and the team at Universal Roofing we have the newest most beautiful roof in the neighborhood. We had been talking about having our roof inspected when I saw Universal Roofing (D J Coots) inspecting a neighbor’s roof. I slowed and waved, wanting to stop, but not wanting to infringe on my neighbor’s time. Thankfully, DJ picked up on my interest and was on our roof within the hour. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable about roofs and insurance companies. He took us through the process from beginning to end. Austin Baldwin of Universal Roofing and Construction went above and beyond throughout the entire process of our roof replacement project. In fact, prior to our coming to an agreement regarding the date of the installation, my family and I were scheduled to leave town for vacation. We had several holes located along the lower border of our roof that were large enough to give raccoons and squirrels easy access to our attic. Austin arrived at our house on the morning that we were scheduled to leave and secured the holes for us at no charge. Giving us a piece of mind that our HVAC system and other wiring would be protected while we were away. AWESOME!!!
He took the time to explain each phase of the process, and detailed the benefits and expectations of all of our available options. He went out of his way to minimize our out of pocket expense and offered the best quality materials that would ensure the best possible end result in the interest of protecting our most valued investment. We had our roof inspected by Kyle Rushing with Universal Roofing & Construction as a periodic maintenance item, not expecting to find any damage on our 17 year old architectural shingled roof. Kyle found numerous hail hits as well as a deep gouge that had penetrated the shingle and was causing rot to our decking. None of this was visible from the ground! Kyle provided excellent service in helping us understand and move through the claim, inspection, approval, and build.
Once the old shingles were removed, additional rotting wood was found and repaired before new materials were put in place. We were so thankful to have had a quality team on our build!
The roofing crew arrived on time, protected our plants and property, worked hard to complete the job in one day, and left our property better than they found it. Kyle was on site to manage the build and make sure everything went smoothly. We highly recommend Kyle Rushing and Universal Roofing and Construction!

Universal Roofing & Construction (AWESOME!!!) Looking for a friendly, timely and thorough roofing company that gets it right, call Universal Roofing & Construction. You'll be glad that you did :-) An inspector reported that there was a repair that was needed, that was in fact, something old, and not the right part. In any event, Ashley, inspected, found some dry rotting, resealed the old stuff, did some additional sealing where the old was, and some additional areas for preventative in being thorough and checked other areas so that we could have piece of mind and take care of anything and everything all at once. An unbelievable experience! Pete Emrick handled the replacement of the roof, met with the insurance adjusters multiple times, and while only a partial recovery for hail damage, I decided to replace the entire roof. 18 men showed up to ensure replacement before rain. It was done with incredible professionalism. Pete returned the next day to make sure all debris was cleaned up and had minor gutter repair immediately completed.
